The standard variant of the three-bar balustrade. It begins with a handrail that projects beyond the first baluster.

  A particular case of this variant is the “walking stick” type of balustrade, which begins with a curved handrail. Another case is the disabled access balustrade, which is used with inclined floors and is a little lower, for convenient grasping from a sitting position. Both variants are shown on the photos below.
